Solution is specified in their own documentation, which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/portal.nutanix.com\/page\/documents\/details?targetId=Nutanix-Community-Edition-Getting-Started-v2_0:Nutanix-Community-Edition-Getting-Started-v2_0\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to solve this issue, do the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As you can likely not SSH to the AHV, go directly on the AHV as root. Otherwise &#8211; SSH as root to your AHV.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run the following commands to rebuild the initramfs, to include the <em>realtek module<\/em>, then remove the firstboot_fail flag and replace it with a new flag.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"hcb_wrap\"><pre class=\"prism line-numbers lang-bash\" data-file=\"(shell) ssh@AHV-IP:\" data-lang=\"Bash\"><code>dracut -f --add-drivers realtek \/boot\/initramfs-$(uname -r).img\nrm \/root\/.firstboot_fail\ntouch \/root\/.firstboot\nreboot<\/code><\/pre><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The machine should now start up with proper Realtek drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Realtek is indeed one of the most commonly used manufacturers of onboard network interface cards (NICs), especially in consumer-grade motherboards and laptops.
